Spotted these a while ago, could be handy out in the field and not carrying round a stick reader and phone? If I order one now it might be here by Christmas đź‘€

Not sure if anyone else has had a go?

Read range is likely to be about 1 inch maximum. Why don't you just get a handheld tag reader and carry it around in your pocket. Robust unlike a phone. Read range 6 to 8 inches. Costs less than a typical phone. Connects to Bluetooth weigh scales or manually enter weights. Battery lasts for days if not weeks. Screen easy to read in both bright sunlight and dark conditions. All tag types read. Sheep goats cattle dogs horses....

Is there now a case for having barcodes on management tags so phones can read them? (I don't know how well the best bar code software works these day when reading low information content barcodes outside.)

app is now available from both google and iPhone stores. The most recent andorid version uploaded today has full BT connectivity to Agrident readers. It takes google maybe 24 hours to verify a new version so it should be aviable by tomorrow. you need to search for select sheepware iPhone version is on apple store. BT compatibility with readers will follw shortly, we did the android BT first. New year, app will upload medicines purchase to agridetn readers so you will be able to buy a medicine, save to phone, tap a button in the app and it will transfer to reader for high speed accurate recording using reader only without needing to hold phone in hand. - That's planned for January.
