Hard to start fendt 820

Do these tractors have any kind of diagnostic port than can be accessed other than by dealer? On trucks/cars you would just read of the rail pressure whilst cranking.
Yeh in the cab, right hand side where the fuses are there are 4 diagnostic ports for the various buses. You can easily interogate engine parameters with a decent diagnostic tool like a Texa. So you don’t need a dealer laptop.

Can you pit in a piece of clear pipe on the return to the tank so that you can see if there is any air is being drawn in and returned to the tank? This should confirm if your system is air tight.

Hi I've got a 9800hr 820 with a starting issue. When starting it winds over for longer than normal and even when warm isn't like normal. I've also noticed it's slightly pressurising the diesel tank seems to be going fine the filters are all recently changed. The only thing different is I've replaced the filter unit with the lift pump in it as the plunger shaft got damaged on it this could all be a coincidence or something I've done?
I have the same problem, please, if you find it, please contact me [email protected] is my email address

Although I have this problem, did you manage to find the problem?

I had the same problem a few years back with my 820. It pressurised the fuel tank, and could never got to the bottom of it. Had injectors sent away because of contaminated fuel, and one of the copper washers on the bottom of an injector was slightly damaged. When new injectors had been fitted the tank never pressurised again. This might be your issue.
