:banghead:Feel like I am the only one who has wet straw in this year of drought! Got 45ac down and well soaked.

60 acre still standing, it might just get below 16% by this evening but it's going to rain again tonight so if we cut some will have yet more wet straw and would have to dry grain or take a moisture claim :facepalm: Running out of time to take family on holiday too :(.

Your not alone, due to combine breakdowns all the straws on the floor whats cut and need another 5 good days to finish, only half way at the mo........and also not had a holiday :rolleyes:

Thanks, 10hours will get ours cut and most of the straw is some else's headache but the school holiday clock is ticking. My wife has learnt to test the moisture, she is out testing it every hour o_O :shifty:between holiday searches on last minute.com.. not sure where the 30ac Spring beans will fit in :banghead:

I've got 2 days of Barley and a day of Beans after the Wheat :banghead:

You are in luck, BBC says your part of the world has a dollop of rain tomorow followed by a return to drought, you can get started Sunday and be off on your hols Wednesday. My forecast looks slightly less settled.

I so hope your right :) for me anyway ;)

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
