That's one from the archives. In the early 80's used to buy as much of it as I could and sold to the Belgians as malting barley. N content irrelevant just had to be big bold,clean and not over dried. Fantastic variety which with modern growth regs could still be here.Grew Atem for years here. It could yield 3t+ without fungicide and only 95kgN/ha. Stopped growing it about 10 years ago because it was leggy and prone to falling over. Shame.
