They shed as the knife cuts the thick stems.
A Sharpe knife & drive fast, cut in damp of morning, stop in best 6/8hrs of a nice sunny day.
Or don’t grow beans.

sounds like the ideal crop for me,at this time of year the damp of the morning usually lasts for 6 wks

Got loads trying to crawl out of my store.

After a hesitant start, finally got them done.
Can report that fully two grain buckets of fat hen and bean stalks will fit on the walkers of a Lexion before the back access hatch blows open



Cut surprisingly well when chopper was actually working, and had three muckspreaders snapping at my heels as I finished. Reckon must be 4t of beans off the 5ac.
Harvest now finished.
