Thanks anyway.Sorry I'm out I've done bearings on hydraulic motors before. Just the frame work looks the same.
Thanks, Have the 4 bolts our, will play a bit more tomorrow.Need to drain the oil out. Take the end plugs for the shaft on the gearbox out.Shaft can be knocked to left or right
Then you can start to remove the assembly by the 4 bolts and will have a better look inside.
It's been 7-8 yrs since I did them last but they're not bad. You'll probably Need a bit of heat to remove the bearings from the shaft with tapered end on it. Piece of cake if they fall off with the heat
Cheers, looking at it, the disc holder id about US. It's been a bloody great spreader, not sure whether to put it back together and run to destruction or repair.Did one last year. as above drain oil, then take end caps off, remove circlips, push bar out of the one you want to remove, undo the four bolts, remove unit.
once on the bench, remove disc holder by knocking roll pins out they are doubled up, might have to use some heat and puller. then there is a tin cover over the bearing with a circlip under it.
What did you do in the end? Slightly wobbly disc here.Cheers, looking at it, the disc holder id about US. It's been a bloody great spreader, not sure whether to put it back together and run to destruction or repair.
I bought another spreader.
I still have the 1142, if it's any use to anyone, right hand disc and agitators iffy.
