What are people wearing on there heads this weather, had a bit of sunstroke last week, so taken to wearing a Aussie style side brimmed hat which is great but being leather it's a tad sweaty. Got to stay on my head on the quad also!(y).

Being a ginger I suffered it a week or so ago, :depressed: it was like the worst two day hangover I've ever had. I have since been wearing a baseball cap but I find it boils my head, the OH has apparently got me an old fashioned straw hat coming for me tomorrow

Lost my sun hat a few years ago, went to the nearest place and they only had Tilley hats. Do Well thinks I

Got to the till, about 60 chuffin quid!!

I had loads to do and it was +30 degrees so reluctantly paid.

I've had it 6 years and it's still like new. I'm hoping it will become a family heirloom, like my late Dads Stanley lunchbox I have. But the family call it Dads Ridiculous Hat, so I'm not sure there will be many takers when I'm testing the ph from 6ft under.

I've a choice of two floppy hats with wide rims.

One's a guaranteed factor 50 equivalent, but doesn't "breath" when any humidity or activity involved (probably aimed for the sunlounger using market); the other's a cotton and linen mix and just right for today.

Sadly, they both make me look like all my great aunts rolled into one

Each to their own of course but I think it rather foolish to go out in this weather without a hat.
You might look silly (probably don't) but I would take looking silly over skin cancer anyday.

Skin cancer is a very serious risk, me and my family have worked outside all our lives and have got issues ranging from serious skin damage to actual skin cancer. I have worn a hat for some years now and just keeping my fingers crossed I started soon enough that I don't have to have parts of my face cut off like Uncle does. Married into the family so no genetic issue rather than the sun.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
