Drax said on the radio that they only take the sawdust from Canada after the trees have been planked. Can that possibly be true or an outright lie ?

Opus do like to try the mid fixed contract price lift from time to time. If they do this to you write to the CEO. That worked in my case and they backed down. There are no decent leccy supply companies in my experience.

Can’t be cheep to ship sawdust ;) these guys are subject to panorama investigation
Someone at, don't know where, National Grid or who ever it is who's in charge of balancing supply with demand, wants to be investigated.

Cousin says they ring Drax up and say "grid's short of electric, can you fire up the 2 spare boilers and pump more power into grid in half an hour"

Cousin replies"No, takes us 24 hrs to slowly bring boilers up to temperature, otherwise they crack, we can be on stream this time tomorrow"

6 weeks later, person in charge of grid rings up again and asks for more power in half an hour. Cousin says "no, nothing's changed, it still takes us 24hrs to bring boilers up to temperature without them cracking"

Same conversation happens every 6 weeks 🤷‍♂️
