Is it legal to swap the standard 55-65w bulbs to 100w Xenon ,,truck is 21yr old but the lights are dull as dish water ,,they are not corroded and the lenses are not fogged up ,just not as bright as I would like

Not really, and you risk burning out your light switch if it has no relay.
However, it is probable that nobody would notice the upgrade.

Yeh they'll nail you to a cross and stone you for using the wrong bulbs.

Everything here gets the Nightbreakers or Phillips equivalent put in them.

The headlight restoration kits can help as well in making the lense clear again.

I remember looking this up before and couldn't find anything on the legalities of 55w versus 100w, it was more orientated to pattern.

I assume they are still 60/55 watts? Do they make a huge difference from standard H4s? My Navara D23's dipped lights are attrocious and need a legal upgrade.......

Fit some Osram Nightbreakers, they do make a good bit of difference

We had some xenon with starter relays on pug 308. Car in the family for nearly 8 years. Brilliant lights and never had to change bulb. The MOT guy has sucked in through is teeth lately.
