Well we cut 20 acres Mon and had hoped to bale today it was looking great last night. The torrential rain forecast for tonight put in an early appearance  so that's b*ggered the job up. Probably won't bale til Tues now.:(

Hell of a storm over mid Kent tonight, lightning, wind, heavy rain and hale, don't wish to think what my rape and peas will look like tomorrow!
Has passed over me now, but watch out for my rape pods and dust in the wind. never seen anything quite like that, it was a dust storm which would have fitted in well in the american dust bowl. Spose it's one way to deal with the blackgrass, export it on the wind:LOL::LOL::LOL::LOL:

If you bg seeds land there they will be in good company just hope my broom rape seed don't travel in reverse. You may have to google broom rape as its hard to explain but as a pulse grower you certainly won't want it in your soil!

Why does england get spectacular lightning storms and as it crosses the border it becomes grey mist and drizzle?

Quite dull here yesterday though, an not really hay weather today either:scratchhead: We are only what 25 miles from you?

Went and cut about 30 acres today nonetheless, looks as though it will need baling on Wednesday come whatever

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
