Neighbour has sheep scab and a few of mine seem to be loseing wool they probably dont have scab but i just want to make sure as dont want a scab outbreak during lambingAs long as they are fit and well, Trodax and colostrial jabs at the same time will be fine,
Why was it they needed the cydectin btw?
Think ill chance it its bound to be more stress putting them trough handling them on two sepetate occasions.Would dectomax be as effective in my situation as a scab prevention as it is intramuscular and trodax and heptavac are subcutabeous.it says no adverse effects with clostridials but doesn’t say cydectin, if your worried phone the manufacture, I’ve done 5-6 different applications at once to hundreds of animals, asked the manufacture’s of them all and the response was phone us back after a week so we can say someone has done that mix, none died btw.
Would it be better first to check thoroughly to make sure if they have scab or not ?Neighbour has sheep scab and a few of mine seem to be loseing wool they probably dont have scab but i just want to make sure as dont want a scab outbreak during lambing
No point double fencing, birds carry wool back and forth. 250metre’s away, 2 roads and a moor and I still caught it years back.Would it be better to check thoroughly to make sure if they have scab or not ?
If you cant move sheep from that neighbour/ boundary.. how bout a double fence of temporary electric to stop them from passing it onto yours .
Dipping is the best way to get rid of scab, doing them at the same time as sheep keeping neighbours is the best plan
I did hear that Dectomax is hard to get hold of at the moment...manufacturing blip or somethingI have always done Dectomax with Heptavac P at the same time, about a month before lambing, with no problem.
I agree i would get tests done first mighy save yourself money and undue stress for the sheepWould it be better first to check thoroughly to make sure if they have scab or not ?

Not a blib thet mixed the vaccine incorrectly and sent it out and it didn't work . We have had to go to loads of farms were they used dectomax first and was a waste of time.I did hear that Dectomax is hard to get hold of at the moment...manufacturing blip or something
brave man asking on here /smallholders be up in armsIs it too much the one day or would i be better given the vaccine on different day
