Is there still an accepted / approved go-between that hmrc are happy with to link to a spreadsheet now?

If so, what ones are folk using ??

Bridging software apparently.
Possibly easier to subscribe to the MTD account packages.
HMRC Forcing us to make tax Digital therefore THEY should provide free relevant Compatible software and or app to do it?

Is the bridging software still a thing?

Really bridging software makes a mockery of MTD As I understand it all it does it take a number from a spreadsheet, its not really doing anything different to manually submitting the same value on the form as was done before... Yes its still a thing When we have to submit MTD for income tax not just VAT I am not sure bridging software will cut it? Whatever route you take I think you now only 13 days to work it out before 7th August VAT deadline do you not?

200% absolutely- and i do use xero.

I was asking for a friend who is only running a business and who already uses a comprehensive spreadsheet for his accounts and is now going vat reg'd

Well looks like I've left this till last minute, better things to be doing tbh. Can I use xero to do my own vat, dad's and another older relative whom I have been doing the vat for the past few years?
