I’m just looking for ideas on sheep handling systems for my daughter’s 120 ewes , did some one make a 3 point linkage one? Seam to remember one looked quite good.

All it is is basic sheep handling sense that you would or should already know about.


To the op , 15 or so alloy or dragable hurdles to catch after the dog has gathered , they are built around a small pen and with few other hurdles to funnel into .....like the George Mudge shearing pen ,is ideal and very usable practical and adaptable if maybd not trendy.

It can be carried in a link box or the addition pallet fork tubes put under and moved like that with the hurdles carried inside.

I’ve got a Rappa yard with double race and 44 hurdles, but I have have made these pens in 2 places where I keep about 150 ewes, cheap to make and can just take the trailer or shearing pen and don’t have to set up.

Brother knocked this together for me out of some old stuff lying about

Just bought a shedding gate for it and had some hurdles gathered up over time not as handy as a prattley but not as costly either and it beats trying to hold them in the corner of a field with an elderly dog.
