Last autum we DD drill 25ha ray of a syntetic hybrid . One reason we chose that variaty was that we can use home save seed. The company say it is possible to use seed but do not now if it is legal? Howe is it in UK , is it legal to use home saved SH ?

No, not allowed here. You'd get a crop but it wouldn't resemble the parent crop, so breeders are just protecting their intellectual property by not letting it be treated in this way.

Synthetic hybrids are not the same as true hybrid rye. They can be maintained by open pollination of isolated crops coming more or less true to type. . Synthetics are made by crossing a limited number of parents selected for their ability to combine in a way that enhances yield/quality. They are less good than true hybrids and seldom encountered, despite the seed being much cheaper. I would be interested to hear more about your crop - I had no idea anyone was growing synthetics nowadays.

True hybrids are made by crossing male-sterile inbred lines, that produce the hybrid seed, with synthetic lines that act as pollinators. They won't come true of course.

It seems likely that any named synthetic hybrid would attract royalties like any other home-saved seed. Safest to contact the breeder if possible.

We have not grow rye for 25 years , but after problems with wheats dwarf decies (?) 2019.
2018 early drill and long mild autum. I want to try to DD rye . Ask the seed dealer of a population rye(?) dealer say it is ok to use homesaved seed of this Varity(?)
Now he are not sure it is legal to use for homesaved seed!

Is population rye the same as a synthetic hybrid? I had an idea population rye is a traditional open seeded cultivar, but I could be wrong.
