honda 250 quad

its an electric shift , and seems not to be shifting properly , numbers keep flashing when try to change up or down , if you stop and switch off it then goes down to neutral when you rock it then start up again and will shift , if you press button quickly it seems to make it flash ,and then have to repeat above process ,,

any ideas tia

Have you tried changing gear manually?

Mine did something similar one day,then seemed to cure itself after me changing manually,should be a lever under the seat.

If it flashes then that flash is a fault code. Count the flash sequence and that will tell me the fault. Usually the problem on them is the angle sensor on front cover of engine. It tells the ECM the position of the gear change mechanism . They are a known problem to Honda dealers. Will have them in stock. If you tell me the flash code then I can confirm the problem
