Enquired about changing our 6 year old 250 . Apparently Honda not making them anymore due to emmisions new stocks will run out in may .Info anyone?

Trouble is it's getting worn on steering starters knacked fuel tanks been choaked from main to reserve for 12 months tyres pretty worn .
Works all day in all but winter months.

They’ve just brought out a new 520 model instead of 500 And a neighbours paid the same as what we paid for the old model last year

If i understand correctly the 250 is the only one left that actually air cooled and fitted with a carb instead of injection, that prob why it fails the emissions.

As said im sure a new model will be along to replace it.

There’s two brand new 250 hondas on eBay

Put new bearing in steering bit of pain and new brushes in starter motor ( get them from Ark ATV not ebay )
Takes time and a fiddle but doable with patience and tenacity
Using with a reserve is not a big deal.

Weve had one since 2001 , it gets used most days.
I suspect they are stopping them because they last too long
Make sure to Change engine oil regular, and keep
oil in the rear diff.
