Think Rt is trailed version of my CT. Was dubious to start with about the effectiveness of the roll pack packer but will work much better in wetter conditions than any other type including a DD.Rt 6 only done 40 hec mostly on very hard conditions, but very pleased with the results very level finish at 40mm depth ,looking toward to getting into better conditions
That's what I'm thinking with the carrier L but I've not had chance to try one yet . What width / horsepower you got , have you tried it in chopped straw??Got one of the new Carrier 'L' here. Tried it and the original Carrier on demo. Ruled out the Joker, one reason being we wanted to use it on ploughed land so wanted the leveling board, which on the Joker they seem to think you don't need where the front outrigger wheels run, whereas we thought it better with a full width leveling board.
Would say that original Carrier much better purely for getting a chit as with smaller less aggressive discs its just the ticket. 'L' model much more handy for general cultivations on stubble and plough, but with the ability to scratch the top fairly well.
Got the 5 metre one as only 230 hp available and on the plough with the levelling boards down that was all it could cope with on the demo. That's what I'm thinking with the carrier L but I've not had chance to try one yet . What width / horsepower you got , have you tried it in chopped straw??
I diss agree with the above post a joker is the machine you want if you want a tool which will go out and create a chit. A terrano will be far to aggressive for this. Have seen many jokers of varying widths used for this purpose. With each different type of joker I think there are different disk sizes to better suit your needs. There's about 4 different joker models.
