I have a problem, i currently have a 7 pin plug on my horse trailer and need to change it to a 13 pin, but the trailer has 2 thick wires while the 13 pin plug looks like it will only take 1 thick one, what are my options?

thanks!

What colour are the two thick wires. White should be heavier than the others, as it’s the earth and all the other signals return on this wire.
From what I remember though, all pins have the same size hole for the cable, so not sure what you means by it will only take 1 thick wire.
As always, a few pictures helps a lot

Wire existing cables into a junction box at the front of the trailer. Run a shorter cable from junction box to connect to vehicle with 13pin plug, then if it ever gets damaged it’s simple to replace.

Get a coiled lead and a junction box.

You can buy maypole junction boxes off eBay for just over a tenner the wire above would go straight into it. If it’s ifor should have said junction box already at front both mine do

Try putting the 2 wires into the plug. I'm sure they'll fit.
I'd guess the second wire is the front corner markers. It's a very lazy cheap way of wiring imo
