What we need is more research , at least thats what all the well paid researchers tell us, either that or read the express and the weather will be the opposite

That will make it interesting for all the newly converted spring crop drillers, planning on drilling late April or May.
They will remember there was a reason why everyone switched to autumn drilling.

all a load of crap, the weather reports are only correct 12hours before it happens!

Don't listen to long term forecasts and take everyday as it comes

That is what I was implying if you look at my post at "Simons Fridays Spring Outlook", last Friday.

I keep looking on his weatherweb site at the pressure charts, I've lost count of the number of times day ten has a hint of high settling towards us only for the days to get closer and the high get moved back to day ten once more, not even just through this winter either, happens all year round and does get annoying, wish I could resist looking as I always end up getting my hopes up knowing its not actually that likely to happen!

And Simon has been predicting less rain and storms for this week since about Xmas. I think it pretty impressive that he has got it exactly right
If someone says a certain outcome is going to happen enough times eventually some will be right! How many times over the same period have they predicted an upturn in drier weather? Or less rain in a few days time? Don't get me wrong, it is impressive what they can do sometimes but the number of times they wrongly predict is quite high!

These meteorologists are getting it all wrong, what we need is a climatologist who can forecast the average temperature to the nearest degree in fifty years time. True, they can't tell if it will rain tomorrow, but that's only incidental.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
