Still got him not used not these days though,... a Pickhill Bantam ... used to make me astra van a bit light on the steering when he was in the back not really very mobile were they14 here, it saw a lot of action.
Lucky you. A 140 amp sip air cooled here, got a hole cut out the back eventually and a wee fan fitted to stop it cutting out. The oil cooled Oxfords and Bantams were superb welders, beautiful steady current. Mine is still here too, the inverter is much handier to move but just not the same.Still got him not used not these days though,... a Pickhill Bantam ... used to make me astra van a bit light on the steering when he was in the back not really mobile were they

Got a sip aircoolled as well, 300 amp he will just about run on single phase but I've got to be carefull not use him after dark, as the neighbours on the same power line get their lights flickering on and offLucky you. Sounds worryingly familiar, an air fed mask is on the urgent list.Got a sip aircoolled as well, 300 amp he will just about run on single phase but I've got to be carefull not use him after dark, as the neighbours on the same power line get their lights flickering on and off
Tbh the fumes from rod welding get me a bit wheezy these days so I try to do it all out side so they blow away naturally as much as possible.
yeah,Sounds worryingly familiar, an air fed mask is on the urgent list.
I miss mine. Not being able to just go make or alter something is crap. How can anyone not have a welder

I still havnt got into TIG, it will be one of my next challenges one of our little inverters will take a torch all I've got do to is get one and some gas and rods.I miss mine. Not being able to just go make or alter something is crap.
I want to alter the inter cooler on the old landy project but I need to get someone else to do it for me:-( as no ac/dc tig here.
As above, a blind/flushfit bearing has disintegrated on my firewood processor, how do I get the outer casing out that remains. I have looked at some YOU Tube videos, that show that if a bead of weld is applied to the outer casing they just fall out, does that really happen???? Needless to say I don't have a welder ,which led me to ask about welding and welders on another thread.
