How is Brexit for you?

Ha-ha. No, haven’t seen that bit yet.
But you are talking about our famously unbiased BBC Jeremy!

It does make you wonder though when we see what a cock up the EU have made about Covid Jabs and their considerations of trying to break their own agreement with us to catch up.

Surely, Life is the most important thing of all and the fact that we were able to beat our own 15,000,000 target by the middle of February is something to be extremely proud of, let alone the lives it will have already saved as a result.

I suppose as brexit is a 50 to 100 year project, according to Mr Rees Mogg a few days early with the Vaccine would have appealed to the cynical side of Aesop. Hares and Tortoises comes to mind. Will put a post up on this thread in 2070 with my view.

No difference whatsoever yet , waiting for the drone of the Luftwaffe coming over

Your OK Bob. I was past Coningsby a few days ago. They have the Spit and Hurricane on permanent state of readiness. Could see from the road the pilots sat out side on the grass under a field tent smoking pipes and in the flying jackets. I didn't stop but a friend told me they have Vera Lynn on permanent loop on the Wireless..

Brexit will effect me by me getting my Covid Jab a heck of a lot sooner than if we had remained in the EU.
This could be a life saver, therefore a hell of a lot more important than still being part of the EU.

No doubt that this is a good example of how we, on our own can do things so much better!
You could have ordered just as fast in the EU. No country was forced to join the buying group.
The reason you ordered so fast was Boris waived the manufacturers guarantees. The EU held them to the guarantees , which took more time to negotiate, so any medical expenses arising from a bad reaction to the vaccines are covered here. You get a 1 off flat payment from Boris. He never reneges on a deal👍
Also the new deliveries of vaccines in the EU have been negotiated to be changed as needed to protect against the new variants as they become apparent. Did the UK do that? Reportedly not and they have to be eerrr renegotiated.
Never mind, one of Boris's lawyer mates will be quids in👍

Did you see the BBC News bit where they'd dragged up some expert to counter what you'd just said; in effect we are more flexible as a Third Country and therefore we can arrange vaccinations faster but when it comes to the "big" things like trade negotiations with big trade blocs we will lose compared with the EU. Bet it was the German TV's that were getting booted in after that one ..........

Do you think it will make negotiations harder? I'd have thought there would be more countries keen to do a deal with the UK now it's out and they don't have the rest of Europe interfering with deals. I don't think the EU has a great reputation throughout the world.
Now importing and exporting with Europe is similar to the rest of the world it might broaden peoples horizons a bit?
The UK has done a fantastic job with vaccinations, who would have predicted that? Maybe the country can achieve even greater things.
It won't do it if everyone has a negative attitude though.

It’s a game of two halves here:
1. Export of pedigree cattle to Republic of Ireland using export agent via Larne was unbelievably smooth once we had an EORI number and inserted GB tags . The cattle took an hour through customs. We have taken longer at Orlando airport ! We think ours were the first to take that route via Larne and apparently everyone was being helpful, though learning on the job. Excellent in the circumstances.
2. Export to Italy of more cattle is a total disaster as the export agent says the EU need to build a “control post” at their ports and until they do, it’s just not possible to export. There is an EU citizen near Rome who is very disappointed. I am looking in to this and hopefully we will get a result.

Are there any ‘bigger things’ than vaccinations at the moment?

I should add that we also sold a root bucket chopper to Isle of Man with no hassle at all.

It's more annoying than anything as it's really only bureaucracy and Willy waving on both sides
Yup that’s the rules which are a pain in the ass. What was straightforward on 31 Dec is now in some areas complex. So a non free free trade deal. As you said about both sides “it takes two to tango”!

Eh just sold mine for very good money in fact the best prices I’ve ever had
Perhaps it is was a better calf than you've ever sold before? Personally I sell between six and twelve BBX and LIMX every week at about a month old and compare them with previous years and rearers are not paying great money this year so far. Not by a long way.
