How much feed should I be giving?

How much course mixture kg per calf should I be feeding? They are end August Sept born. On silage and barley straw.

I would be feeding 3-4 kg of beef/grower nut p/day rather than course mix tbh . If the silage is nice stuff they will grow on abit, you might end up getting them too fat before they have grown any frame imo

I would start with 2kg of a 16% nut as course mix is normally a lot more expensive. Weigh them each month and see how they are growing and adjust feed accordingly. I would aim for 1-1.2kg of gain per day as an average, when they're young is the time to get the best feed conversion efficiency. Nice bunch of calves look like they're growing well.

At 4 months old I would be feeding at 1kg of 18% nuts or blend per 50kgs live weight with ab-lib hay and straw. Hay and straw in feeders and let them chose.
