How to find a reputable exporter in the UK? For a used Claydon

I would really love to have a Claydon V drill here in the states. I found this one on Agriaffaires.
Does it look like a good drill? Would it be plain seed or have fertilizer ran thru it? Not looking for a fertilizer rig as they would just rust apart here, likely as fast as they would there.

But I have absolutely no clue how to go about it. What would be the first step ?

Agri Linc would be able to sort the export out.
That machine would not have had fertiliser through it. Built like a tank. First edition of the Claydon so obviously improvements been made to the design but a lot of machine for the money.
You could try ringing Claydons to see if they know of anything.

I would think that could easily be our old one as it was a trailed 2004 model. I think ours was the 2nd trailed 6m to be built.

We sold it to a farm near Luton iirc.

No issues with the build of it really. There were a few hairline cracks around the leading time brackets where they were welded to the main beam but other than that no issues.

But it will without doubt block up in trashy conditions. The 'v' formation holds the trash between the front and rear tine and it's like a barrel effect rolling trash up into lines. We were blocking it in chopped wheat straw out the back of a lexion chopper.

New price was £40k and I think we sold it in 2007 for £24k although would need to check figures to be sure.

Thanks for that insight. I recognize the issue now that you mention it. I have a similar issue with one of my home made systems. Front tine of the following rank is too close to the seed tine of the lead rank.

I cant seem to find any dts for sale, nor Mzuri. I did find a Prmera but I need to stick with english speaking sales.

Afternoon, yes this 6m V Drill is currently in our yard and still available.
@doorknob feel free to give us a call on 0044 1778 591225 or email at [email protected] if you would like any further details on the drill or to discuss export.
We regularly send containers overseas so can work through this with you no problems!

I am sure you could build your own Doorknob basically all a claydon is a leading leg followed by a tine with bougault seed boots and a shares . You have built some good bits of kit overtime i am sure you could make one up.
Been drillling with the the same bougualt boots and a shares for years with a willrich drill and still do on some ground as well as using the pillar dischoe drill for dd

I can yes. But I sorta need to have a drill set up here in less than 6 weeks. Thing I like somuch about the stuff in the UK and western Europe is the transport width. I dont have access to ready made boxes like on the Claydon. I know Gandy and Valmar make boxes, but not set up well for narrow transport.
Thanks.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
