Probably a controversial thread this !

Over Christmas I was talking to a friend ( well more a friend of a friend !) on a night out who claimed to be vegan, he really thinks hes single handedly solving global warming and ending all animal suffering !

Closer questioning (after I pointed out the wine he was drinking probably involved egg white in its production) revealed that he did eat "some" animal products :ROFLMAO: I asked what the "allowable" % was toward yourself the vegan title ....... he seemed confused

so I have used the meal tracker app IO use for fitness nutrition and it turns out I'm nearly 90% vegan ........ who would have thought it based on some of the recent meals I have had, like a turkey at Christmas, a good roast beef dinner on a Sunday and a few cracking tomahawk steaks

Who else is "coming out". as vegan with me ? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. it's really not so bad as I thought it maybe

There’s no such thing as a true vegan because animal products are used in tyre production which means no bikes, no cars, no buses, no planes etc etc so unless they can honestly say they’ve only ever walked everywhere bare foot then they are not vegan.

They certainly used to burn MBM as a feedstock for making cement of all things.

@Clive you've always got an eye out for the next thing, if it doesn't exist already, develop a food miles app and push that as a way of measuring your eco credentials (y)

Kind of Project AHDB should get behind really you would think ? - that kind of thing could be done and promoted / made cool and trendy and as an industry its EXACTLY the kind of thing we should be doing ............ but who funds it ?
