Morning all. Inexperienced hobbiest here, possibility of getting a Howard HR10 110 to go behind my 148. I'm thinking it would be too small. Leave it be or suitable combination?

if that is a Howard rotavator , doubt if it would lift it, then if you got it in the ground suspect you would take off at a rapid speed , except it would most likely stall

That's only a 43'' machine,so it'll lift it and handle it no problem. Just not wide enough to cover both wheels but if the offset is adjustable, you can cover one side and always go one way. A HR 10 120 would be more suitable at 47''. You could go on up to a 60'' which the 148 will lift and work easily as long as you're not going in too deep on hard ground on a first pass.

Ah, the new ones are metric. The Howard 110 I was thinking of was near 3 metres :ROFLMAO:

It sounds a bit small, like something that was designed for a compact tractor. Sometimes smaller machinery can be more awkward in a small area, it depends on what you want to achieve.

Oh fair enough. I was taking the pee. There's a thread on here somewhere where every 6 months or so someone pipes up they have the same thing missing and ask @Dave W if he still has the spare one he said he had about 10 years back. And each time he very patiently replies saying he hasn't
