Haven't got one but I'm guessing there's a magnetic switch/ sensor to tell the box when it's at the top of its travel and it needs moving / adjusting. How do you adjust the lift arm to travel further up when on auto works fine on manual but won't lift the bale quite far enough on auto to sit it on the table.

Are you sure you're not trying to load it with the table on horizontal? How do you adjust the lift arm to travel further up when on auto works fine on manual but won't lift the bale quite far enough on auto to sit it on the table.
Yep have table leaning forward works fine on manual but on auto the lift arm does travel quite far enough. Are you sure you're not trying to load it with the table on horizontal?
Switch it to manual and make sure the table is tipped forwards (with the manual table tip off button).
Switch back to 'Auto' and try again.
Once you get it into sequence, the table should always return to that 'leaning forward' position when in Auto.
Done all that doesn't change it the lift arm on auto doesn't travel far enough. Are you sure you're not trying to load it with the table on horizontal?

I'd go with oil flow then, which may be caused by not having enough revs on. (Ours won't cut and hold properly on tick over).Done all that doesn't change it the lift arm on auto doesn't travel far enough.
I agree with you but where as I can't find one or does it work off a relief valve as it will sit the bale on the roller of the table but doesn't quite travel far enough to sit it completely on the table , works fine on manual.Haven't got one but I'm guessing there's a magnetic switch/ sensor to tell the box when it's at the top of its travel and it needs moving / adjusting.
Does it lift at the same speed on manual as auto?I agree with you but where as I can't find one or does it work off a relief valve as it will sit the bale on the roller of the table but doesn't quite travel far enough to sit it completely on the table , works fine on manual.
Lifts at same speedDoes it lift at the same speed on manual as auto?
If not, I'd still be inclined to say oil flow.
I’ve always thought it was a timed action.Try again with a few revs on, think it’s timed so if not enough oil it travel far enough
I wondered that and if it's timed that would answer the problem so I will try the local agent for the code cheersI’ve always thought it was a timed action.
I.E it lifts for 1.5 seconds so if it’s not pumped enough oil in that time it won’t lift high enough.
You should be able to change the duration in the control box setting but might need the access code to get in
Have a play about with the box. There’s lots of settings you can changeI wondered that and if it's timed that would answer the problem so I will try the local agent for the code cheers
It does seem a bizarre way to regulate the position of a lifting arm. Too many variables with tractor revs, oil thickness or temperature, wear in fittings etc. Why not just a position sensor?I’ve always thought it was a timed action.
