Just bought 70 pin type/ galvanised 5ft for £23. Could've had 4-6ft at that price.
Also bought 90 4ft ungalvanised/ pin type for £12.50/gate. Personally don't think wood is worth bothering with in terms of disease

In after some new hurdles to make lambing pens up with. Would like 5ft so they fit in the Polytunnel better, preferably wooden but can be metal.
I want new ones, don't have time to make my own before poeple start suggesting ideas. Lol!!
Basically any ideas where I can get some????
Still got some 5 and 6'wooden ones around - never had a lamb get out of them as in some of the metal ones we have had .
They do need baler cord - but i suppose metal pins could be included in the design
ours are old now tho and have lasted well but they were pre cca banning so didn't rot.

V diamond braced were most durable as some of the single diagonal braced did not support all the rails if some 'shorthouse' twit climbed over them by treading on the bottom rail and bust it .....;):)

Very tidy looking. Although I suspect I'd need heavier wood for my hill ewes unless I wanted £45 worth of kindling!

Luckily the ewes are fairly quiet.

I did experimented a bit with some different designs.
If I ever need to make some more i would make them the same as the one's on left, around the straw bale.
The extra upright and two diagonal braces are a lot stronger than the single diagonal.

Correct.
All registered.
Started with 10 broker's 3 years ago and will be lambing 32 this year.
13 now and 19 in March.

When I first moved to England place I worked had small flock of them (30 odd). Was a special needs school with smallholding. They were very docile/calm/forgiving with students.

I always quite liked them as mothers & decent twin %. Shame about wooly head!!

These are old individual calf pens re sheeted with corriboard, as per earlier post.

Got fed up with buckets getting broke and tipped over, made thes from 20l drum and simple angle bracket

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
