You can be an essential worker and still exercise judgement as to when and what you do.

We are not doing any outgoing sales calls at work, nor should we even in a relatively low incidence area

I had one in the first lockdown, not Hutchinson’s, a smaller more local firm. Luckily I didn’t see him but he’d left some literature, I certainly didn’t feel it was appropriate then so as I say, he’s probably lucky he didn’t see me or he might have learnt some colourful language.

Things do seem more relaxed this time around, wether that’s a good thing or not I don’t know.

Had one round here had tarmac in wagon that had gone into limp mode from road works. I'll take it for free I said, he said ok he'll be round later. I took the number plate no tax or mot.
Made sure he kept his distance!

Agree it’s wrong, but cut him some slack. He’s probably young and that firm is pretty cut throat in getting rid of graduates if they don’t get new business

I had a tradesman call the other day, offering some free hardcore from a job he was doing nearby, first thing he told me was he wasn’t a traveller. I wasn’t interested but engaged in a bit of polite conversation and asked were he was from.........Shropshire he replied. I didn’t point out the obvious............you’re in Shropshire mate.
