Hydraulic motor query

The hose in the center of the motor tees into the return hose. My question is, does the motor send a constant pressure out this return pipe or is it there as an overload should the main return stop?

If it’s the same as on our macerator on trailing shoe and dribble bar then it’s just there as a overload safety if the motor jams

I personally don't like it when the drain line hose is tee in when the return hose unless it in a free flow return port in the back of of the tractor. If it's in the tractor spool valve there is a chance the return pipe can be pressurised and this will cause excessive pressure in the drain pipe causing the shaft seal to blow out. Also if the flow in the drain is excessive due internal wear this can cause the shaft seal to leak.

Thanks. It's going back into a free flow port
