Hydraulic post hole borer

Does anybody know if the hydraulic rotator off a block grab lorry would be any use to make a hydraulic post hole borer for front loader, I would need a 200mm auger on it to do my job. I have one in workshop and will upload a photo of it tomorrow, thanks in advance.

Thanks guys.Sounds like my idea for using this rotator to make my hole borer machine isn’t going to work If hiring one which is the better option, the pto 3point linkage model or a hydraulic one for a mini digger? I’ve never needed/used one before

We made a similar thing for winding spanish tunnel legs in, basically a 4* auger.
Worked for our purposes unless you hit gravel.
As said, you need a lot of torque.

Far easier to control a hydraulic auger on a digger than a pto driven auger.

Well worth the hire fee of a mini digger , you can easily angle it any way to get the hole plumb

The likes of a decent sized digga one has brilliant digging capabilty. Far better than the pto ones and you can reverse them out if the auger jams in a root or stone

Contractor that installed the otter fence, used machine mounted auger for gate posts
Prob 300 unsure , very impressive
Was on pob 1.5 t but nigel said its a better animal on the 5 t . 1.5 only just man enough , just , but for the job could tow 1,5 behind truck.
Made a bloody neat hole
Im saying 300 mm but more i tink prob bigger

Here’s a picture of the rotator, it came off a fielden block grab, it would have made an ideal unit to power an earth auger.

I think a mates one is like that, in his spares
I think , but could be wrong his doesn't do a full 360 , it came with a brick grab , they let rotater go for that reason.
No idea what makes a 350 ? Become a 360
