“YouTube Farming” as in the US etc style doesn’t exist here. No one cares . . .
No one likes “tall poppies” or show offs . . .

Anyway, back to the Ideal.
Someone must have bought one here, it’s sitting in the dealers yard View attachment 989812

I will say, NO ONE here would have bought it just because it’s a “Fendt”. Although their tractors are gaining in popularity & have a good reputation, it would have ONLY been bought because of a good deal / good relationship with dealer / it offers a clear advantage over the competition.
Deere / Claas / CNH are the clear leaders here, especially amongst contractors ( which is a very large part of our harvesting capacity & the main buyers of large capacity machines ). I believe the Fendt is based on a MF ? They have a bad reputation here & I have never seen a farmer or contractor in this part of the world run MFs, apart from a friend of mine. He was a grain harvesting contractor with a long history of Allis Chalmers “Gleaners”, N6 / N7 etc, who bought 2 of the biggest MF machines due to the AGCO connection. They were a warranty nightmare, the biggest problem was the the final drives kept failing & I think he ended up taking legal action. They nearly broke him, he couldnt even give them away . . .
He is back with a current series Gleaner . . .
I found it interesting they were buying lots of tucannos rather than just a few monster Lexions with 40ft cuts. Never found out why.
Because they are sensible

Been offered a 1 year hire deal on a big ideal, not got numbers yet but it would have to be significantly less than Claas to change away from what we know is a good and reliable product

1 year hire is unusual though, usually been asked to commit to 3 or 5 yrs in the past
Near neighbours have one on a hire deal and are vastly cheaper than NH. They say its gone really well this year.

My local dealer has sold a few ideals over the last few years. Including I believe a 10 for this year. They seem to have a better run with them than what mike Mitchell does.
in Mike's latest video I read in the comments below that his patience seems to have run out...

Looks like he maybe planning something different for next year by all accounts. He does work the machines damned hard but its clear they aren't production ready.

When running they are a beast but way too many issues and poor build for the money they are demanding from the farmer

JD would probably give the lad a few major items of kit to kill off some competition before they get going.

I’m told there is a different colour coming next year. At the time they hadn’t worked out which models but Definately coming apparently. Struggling to shift the ideals apparently as everyone knows his struggles through YouTube
