Identifying old walls as previous buildings.

Good afternoon all.

I’ve got the remains of (what I believe was) a building on my land.

Talking to those who know the area better than I, I’m told that the structure was a cow shed / barn.

The structure must be over one hundred years old.

If I wanted to confirm this, who’d be the best person to confirm what the structure was? An architect, historian,

Thanks in advance for your help

100 years old is only 1924.
That's barely pre-Herriot.
These things are so local. Listen to all the older local people who have told you it's a barn.
Try and find other examples locally.
Don't ask Natural England or English Heritage etc.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
