If I can't beat them, should I join them?

It's not even lunchtime yet on a bank holiday Monday and

1)Flat tire on tanker - can't get it to plug so need tyre man to patch.
2)Tyre blow out on dumper - need new tyre from tyre man
3)Hydraulic motor scrapped itself - need hydraulic shop open
4)Hose burst on loading shovel - have my own swag machine but of course I meant to re-stock on 5/8 ferrules - need hydraulic shop open.
5)Hose burst on 8 wheeler - of course its some weird fitting - need hydraulic shop open (tried to be smart and cut the ferrules off and of course nicked the fitting now scrap)
6)Alternator has gone on power washer - need my electrics place open
7)Needed Heat and of course out of oxygen - need gas supplier open

Is anyone else finding it harder and harder to justify working bank holidays? I don't seem to remember the struggle being this hard in years gone by, but the last few there has always been some sort of disaster on a bank holiday.

I think the next one everybody is getting the day off.. including the cows lol

My Nixon pressure washer had electric problem few weeks ago. Shoved it in the shed and forgot all about it since. Her indoors, put up a breakfast fit for a king this morning, and casually mentioned as I was scoffing it down, “the house badly needs a good power washing, so I got the leccy man to sort out the pressure washer for you, as you don’t want to let the bank holiday go to waste”....
My Mrs., should be running the country....

What kind of house do you live in? Most just mop the kitchen floor:D
And just use one of these

I'd have told her that you're going to be too busy planting the (or some more) tatties!

PS
Make sure you at least get some mud on your boots today, but remember to take them off before you come back into the house. Else you will be using that pressure washer today too!

I feel your pain, this was one of the egg elevators this morning after a bird managed to die in a nest box, end up on an egg belt and take the elevator chain with her as a final act. It took until gone 2pm to repair, muggins here is still packing eggs.
