Ifor Williams DP120 value

We are thinking of changing the trailer to a triple axle 12/14ft one.

Anyone want to hazard a guess at the trade in value of our current one? We bought her new in 2001 but I don't know how to work out the exact date from the plate, and we refurbished the brakes last year.

TIA.

I would say that if you take the discounted price of a new one of the same spec and knock off 20%, you will be very near the private sale price. These boxes make outstanding money.
I had all six brakes done on mine last week, plus two tyres replaced. Do it in time and it isn't too bad a cost. The one before had chunks missing from two brake drums and needed cables and a drawbar damper and I think I paid about £500 more than the estimate for the brake job to change it for a new one with the brakes as they were and made known to the salesman.

Remember that a triple will have less payload and more expensive maintenance and tyre replacement costs than a twin. However I would go for a 14ft, as there is room to shut the partition and accommodate a cow or two either side than a 12 footer. They only do the 14ft as a triple nowadays if I remember correctly .

Very tidy that, id value it at £2.5k private sale given a new standard DP one will be circa just north of £4k after discount.

Not sure on trade in, but I think IWT pay decent trade in, or they certainly did on dads

IWT certainly hold their values

I was hoping for that much as a new 14ft was £5.5k.

I've been watching the prices of them for a few months as have been thinking about changing mine
A 120 with decks will seems to be 2250
A 120 without 2000
I did enquire about 12 months ago and the trade value on mine was 1500
A mate of mine was quoted that for his last year when he changed his. It was a 10ft but he decided to keep it and the new one. The firm that quoted you would it start with a "R"?
