IH b250 tractor value

Evening all,
What price would you put on an International b250 with good tyres, recently done paint job and very tidy looking, but possibly needing new rings and fuel pump seals doing?

Not half enough when you’re selling but a bit dear when buying!! As said unfortunately they don’t command a premium at all and parts are not all available and can cost quite a bit to do up!! I have five so have a few T shirts 😂😂😂

You’ll struggle to top £1000-1250 for it even if it’s very tidy with mechanical underlining problems. Changing the rings can turn into needing a replacement engine unfortunately and them inline pumps are not the easiest or most economical to sort out either

You are absolutely right! Inline pumps on the b250's were absolute sods! The later b275's with the rotary pumps were like a totally different tractor altogether.

I’ve an early 275 with inline pump aswell and a rotary version and a 276 and a 444 and oh, I don’t remember 😂😂😂.
Missed out on a very early 250 with the mechanical governor inline pump by an ex employer who sold it to someone else aswell.

Whats the difference between the b250 and the b414

414 will have slightly more power from a rotary injection pump with a 154 cu inch engine as opposed to a 144. 250 will be single clutch 5 speed gearbox, 414 will be a 4 speed with low and high and dual clutch with live drive. 414 will usually have vari touch position control hydraulics while 250 will only have standard hydraulics with a depth screw. 414 will have slightly larger brake discs. the 250 will have horizontal slats on the front grill and solid bonnet sides painted red, 414 will have vertical slats on nose cone and will have some cream paint and grilles on the side of bonnet. Fuel tank will be larger on the 414 aswell and may have a flap on top of bonnet to access radiator cap.

Yes and no!! 250 block wont have a hole and two threaded holes for the lift pump but you can drill and fit as the cam will have the lobe. Use a gasket as a template. 144 and 154cu inch use same blocks but different liners i think although if you were really stuck you could fit 275 liners and pistons. Be aware though that the cranks are different as one is a single clutch!!!
