Massive demand from Russia at
whats your name and contact detailsMassive demand from Russia at present which is holding there prices up but yes as everywhere else the drought will be starting to bite so in theory they should start dropping in price.
Fleck crosses incalf for early August are £1480, new calved £1550. Pedigree fleck are £18-1900, black and white should be cheaper than these prices.
Do tb valuation take into account the lower value of imported cattle due to their lower cull value?
Older cattle that is. Or do they not get to that bracket?

has anyone any experience importing cattle from Ireland? I emailed a couple of folk advertising in farmers guardian last week but heard nothing back
Need to be quick if wanting new calved as it is about to be stopped due to animal welfare pressure. Currently can only bring animals in from France but they must be milked after 12 hours from original loading and then rested for a further 8 hours after milking which is going to make the job more expensive in any case
