Am looking for a pic of the brackets that were made to increase the lift of the 65 and early 165s to lift the 85 3 furrow reversible, its a small bracket between the lower link and the drop arm moving the pivot point back and up.I,ve a pair made and fitted just like confirmation of the design.

Just check your pressure, first ......
Aye the original relief valve was down a bit ave forgotten the exact reading so I fitted a new 135 one 2800 psi now, new stand pipe o rings new lift cylinder and piston my thinking now is overhaul or renew the the pump even although pressure = power, flow, which the original pump is bound to be lacking in = speed , it,s definitely leaking back, the arms are dropping far too quickly

So you want to lift more weight?
Drill another hole in the arm and move lift rod forward a bit?
Or get shorter arms? I think there was a few options on the 65
Forward ? back surely to increase the leverage on the arm by the lift rod .Shorter arms would help but.. my t bar hitch would need modified then . nowt but negative waves this morning

Aye that is the bigger one on it am buggered if I can remember if a 65 with good hydraulics could lift the nose with a static load on the arms ie stick a buckrake into a load of silage and just lift.
I think there are three different sizes of ram the largest will fit but needs a bit of a mod to do it

Yes back it would need, less travel but more power, pretty sure my 65 will lift the front wheels no bother, but as you say they are dropping too quickly then it must be leaking, if I lift mine to the top and flick diverter valve they will stay up with engine stopped

When stopped the snap ring in the ram always tended to leak back down, did it not.
Would you go to 2900 or even 3000 on the relief valve?
165 dry axle will lift a 600l Hardi 12m sprayer with front weights on, no steering without, if that helps.

Possibly, aye a 165 relief isnt going to break the bank .The dry brake 165 handled the 4m ransomes grass seed drill if the other ones were tied up, the standard arms with a lug welded on top, roughly the same shape as the ones bolted on the 65

Yes they slowly go back down, what I was meaning is they don't just drop like a stone
Edit, just to be clear they go down with engine stopped but if flick to tipping position on diverter valve they stay up much longer
