well into year 3, with no starlings, a batch started appearing late afternoon, in the cold spell, but we moved them on, and they haven't come back.

And we used to have 1,000's of them come in, nothing has changed in the TMR, except the cows get all the conc, minus what a few sparrows eat.

With the length of this thread it is bound to proposed already but here goes, laserlights?
I have a green laserlight in my pocket and starlings really hate it as do most birds.
I have a pigshed starlings took a liking to and when I walk bit I shone through the window with the laser (cheap ish from amazon).
There are these cattoys that have a laserlight going on intermittently, I am thinking of buying one.
Odd thing is neither cow nor pig care about the light.

If I lived closer and if I were younger, what fun I could have..... but if "'ifs" and "ands" were pots and pans, there'd be no need for tinkers".... I'd be getting one of these. But they are delicate little blighters and need very careful experienced management.

Can see plenty of holes/gaps in that set up I'm afraid through which they'll wriggle and it's not really protecting the feed - which is where they say their losses are as there is a big gap where the drop downs meet.

NOTHING (well one thing) stops the pluckers.

Any links

got my spellling wrong which wasn’t helpful.

£360 ish I think. Sounds like a cannon going off. Any birds that come back between bangs are much less and extremely skittish.
