Ingersoll rand P180 oil

Hi hows it going,


I have bought an old compressor... Ingersoll rand P180
Could you tell me the correct compressor oil for it and possibly where filters can be bought...

There is an issue i have to fix with it... looks like there is a couple of slack fittings in a tricky place that leaks oil when i stop it. The line looks to be connected to the automatic vent of the air reciever which does not work when it is turned off and when it is turned off it leaks oil...

Looking at what information I have to hand, the P180 uses a 10w monograde engine oil in the ‘rotor gears and casing’.
An E7 15w/40 in the engine.

Is that in the pressure vessel tank?

Yes it is lubricates the whole compressor assembly as I understand it

I've got a 7/71 in workshop at moment and that requires 46 oil
