My ih 584 is having hydraulic problems
Thers a small leak around the steering wheel and a small leak at top ram seal on front loader they started a couple of months back and I'm going to get done with the fine weather however today all hydraulics went faulty back end juddering up front loader wouldn't go up and then all of a sudden works fine, steering stopped working then works fine so I stopped the tractor checked the hydraulic dip stick and it showed bone dry when I pulled dip stick out it made a gurgling sound put dip stick in to look again and the dip stick was over half way up with oil so I then went and and opened the fill plug at the back and that looked bone dry with a milky residue in ther inserted a 20 inch stick into the back end and that came out bone dry! Is the dip stick reading faulty on these? Is it desperate for back end oil or what, how far upto the filler plug should I see oil it must be desperate for it to be acting like that surely?

You can’t see oil or dip it from the filler plug , sounds like the transmission/ hyd filter needs changing first , big filter in front of left hand half shaft

To do it perfectly should do it with the engine running.
There is a transfer pump in the front gearbox to pump it to the back housing.
If it fails or the gauze on it gets blocked it doesn’t transfer the oil.
Nothing to do with the transmission filter.
If the large gauze in the middle of the transmission filter is very dirty or blocked it’s the bypass for the main filter so that is definitely blocked.
