May have asked this before,anyone know where to find engine number and tractor serial number on a 4cyl, 5,6, or 7 series no idea of year it's got ta transmission.

I'm guessing it's an 84 or 85 series but you don't know which one then?
The engine no. should be behind the engine oil filter and the tractor serial no. on a plate on the RHS above the axle on the bolster. If no plate,stamped into the top flat of the bolster. May need the side panel off to see.

Wrong bonnet, original not sloping one as far as i know, no plate on r/h/s. will look for eng number if that is found will it suggest what model tractor this engine was fitted to...

Some photos would identify it. Cab layout will be very different between 74,84 and 85 series. Is it an LP cab? Flat roof, raised roof with heater, XL cab? Lighting strike gear lever or H pattern. How are the gauges set out on dash? 4 across the top will be a 74 series. Pickup hitch design will identify it aswell or give an inclination as will colour!

just read it’s got TA, that narrows it down a bit

will be awhile before i can get some photo's, yes flat roof heater and fan in roof cab filters at top front covered by small plastic grille, ...
