Hi everyone.

My name's Dan and, after 12 years in the Army, I've set up as a freelance consultant. My dad is a Herdsman, as was his dad before that, so I grew up around farming even if I did break the mould slightly! My intention is to put up some articles/threads on staying safe and within the law when dealing with Fuel and Gas storage, especially all the Health and Safety and Environmental stuff.

Hi! I'm Ben; I just completed a degree in Agriculture. I'm now studying computer science part time, and I'm hoping I can work towards creating computer systems that work for farmers in the future (I figure it would be good to have someone who actually cares about agriculture working on these systems).

I joined farming forum because I want to keep in touch with what is happening in the farming comunity.

Hello all,
I've been crawling about TFF for a while and thought it was time to join the party.

Run 230 NC mule ewes- hopefully this will grow, lambing to Charollais tups in April (first time I have lambed my own sheep). All a bit of a learning curve! Arable is contracted out to the neighbours. We also run a vineyard operation as a separate enterprise.

I also do relief milking at weekends and work for a manufacturer of dairy farm products as the day job. On top of that I spend far too much time on YFC and everything that entails.

Looking forward to getting involved in the forum!
