Ipad gone very slow

Any ideas ,when typing its like you tap keys and a second or two it taps out what you have written ,and very slow at loading up

A turn off and then back on again moment. Do you have lots of apps running?

how old is it ?
my old ipad kept crashing. Apple stopped supporting it ,couldn't upgrade browser, so binned it and bought a samsung tablet.

This did just that over a year ago, it was so bad I was going to bin it, so felt I had nothing to lose and basically wiped everything, reset everything etc and started again, been fine to date
