My sons I Phone 7 charging port has self destructed so unable to charge it everything else is great with the phone would a wireless charger work?
In short no, iPhone 7s dont have wireless charging capability. They can be adapted to be able to wirelessly charge but that requires a working charging port as well. Options are new phone or possibly get it repaired but that wont be cheap.

I have replaced the charging port on an iPhone6, possibly more than once.... it is a bit fiddly but the part and the tools are not expensive. Plenty of iPhone repair videos on youtube.. Also have you cleaned out any dirt and tried a different cable, I reckon I kill at least 3 cables for every time I wear out a charging port.

Whilst on iPhone repairs I shall hijacking the thread,,,,, Something is wrong with the small speaker in my current iPhone, I fitted a replacement but still no sound :scratchhead:... its a bit of a pain having all conversations on loudspeaker is fine at home but not so great in public :banghead:. If anyone has any suggestions? And before anyone says buy a new phone, no, just no!

If it’s an iPhone6, they have an issue where they think the headphones are connected so turn off the speaker. Plugging and unplugging a set of headphones a few times seems to sort the problem. Not had any trouble on the later phones though, I’m on an xs now which seems to be the least glitchy iPhone I’ve had so far!
