No they don’t.
Don’t start making ridiculous generalisations.
I hate red tractor, and I know lots of other ‘big farmers’ who also hate it.
I am fully in support and have been very vocal about red tractor often to my own detriment on social media and in various other settings.
I do the whole audit myself and it takes me about half a day to do multiple farms. It’s just about being organised, so that side of things is genuinely not an issue. It’s the hypocrisy of the whole thing that irks me.

if you carry on with this ‘them and us’ rhetoric you have been pushing them all you will do is lose a load of support by being a little bitch.
Minette batters, Stuart Roberts and guy smith who were the the nfu’s biggest supporters of red tractors are all fairly small farmers.
says it all "half a day to do multiple farms " from someone who keeps/feeds no stock ,puts their grain into central store, and managed in a way that is simplified as absolutely possible .Alot people really struggle with these audits and the stress/worry of failing terrifying to someone under pressure who may have many different constraints that wouldnt even be on your radar.
I suspect that just possibly some of your "landlords" may have chosen your blueprint methods partly because of these audits and pressures .
You should get out more and spend some time else where seeing as you have so much availiable to spare .
Those people mentioned dont seem to be needed to operate their farms at home do they ?

You must be just the sort of farmer they absolutely love. All those fees and only one inspector taken up for half a day.

Would you know off hand what your multiple farms would be paying to have the rat inspection?

That’s the problem here. Mixed farm with me and the wife working elsewhere to supplement income.

I’m talking about the arable side of things.
all the info to do the audit is there. I took over from my dad doing it two years ago because we got a new inspector and all the stuff was ancient.
Just printed the book off, filled it in and showed it to the guy, updated it the next year.
it’s all a load of rubbish. I don’t see how it’s any different for a small arable farm to a big one, it shouldn’t take any more time if your organised.
We have multiple on farm stores that are registered for full term storage aswell.

Had a Red tractor inspection in May that was stressful enough, and just got a cross compliance inspection starting tomorrow. It’s enough to make you want to pack it in, constant meddling for what gain?
I thought RT insinuated that if you were a member you would have less inspections from other Government bodies.Perhaps I just dreamt it up or RT were being a little economical with the truth.

who's generalisiing now , some arable farmers would have these issues too , we buy grain to feed and prefer non assured in principal and pay the going rate on the day -helps our friends and allies .
We buy in straw but find your type of operation nearly impossible to deal with and have to haul many miles as a consequence in an arable area .

Again, I’m talking about a standard arable farm.
You obviously have a vendetta against larger farms.
I am fully against red tractor. I just think we should focus on the complete illegal farce it is, not the actual process which is not that difficult for an arable farm regardless of size.

They lied and completely made that up. We’ve had EA, DEFRA, Customs & Excise, RPA, HSE etc inspections and NONE of them will accept the RT audit. They don’t even acknowledge it exists.

It’s just corruption coming from the NFU, AHDB and AIC.

In theory, due to the Data Protection Act, the government shouldn't know who is RT.

When I was FA, I had them inspect me, Trading Standards and RPA in a space of a few weeks. The latter two apparently because the computer randomly threw my farm up.

Since I ditched FA several years ago, I have so far avoided any other inspection.

Perhaps @Janet Hughes Defra could answer the question..........

Does DEFRA share information with the Red Tractor, or visa versa ?

News just in, "red tractor gives me peace of mind" has just got another vote.

There are now 11 farmers whose mental health is improved by knowing their product is safe to enter the food chain.
They all pay whatever the going rate is. I think it changes for size of farm?
in the past you could get away with not paying for extra farms but they changed that a few years ago.

No just want to trade in a simple honest way with the facilities and resources we have and not have hidden agendas corrupting the market place and our lives .
Who actually gains from red tractor apart from the employees etc ?

I’m not arguing against any of that, your preaching to the converted or not reading what I’m saying.
All I think is for arable farms the audit is not particularly taxing, I can think of a hundred more stressful things to worry about on an arable farm.

How can Red Tractor who effectively blackmail you to pay up just so they can do their one day a year box ticking exercise which achieves nothing for the consumer not cause you stress, it’s no different to shopkeepers in Italy paying the mafia for non existent protection & it’s disgusting that in this country it’s allowed to happen!
