I’m not arguing against any of that, your preaching to the converted or not reading what I’m saying.
All I think is for arable farms the audit is not particularly taxing, I can think of a hundred more stressful things to worry about on an arable farm.
Ever since the war ag certain individuals who "had the nerve and time to do it " in this industry have used/influenced Gov organisations and NGA's to favour their own" personal " agendas and wishes .Whilst conveniently quietly overlooking the big picture and consequences for others not so vocal at the winge fest .
Ever wondered why IACS was introduced differently here to other member states with no objection from the NFU or milk quotas etc etc , 3 generation tenancies, APR ?
I would suggest red tractor is the modern version of the tythes - perhaps you should look up how the farmers of the day worked together to get rid of it . Where as today they are looking to get into their neighbours fields at any opportunity operating systems like yours effectively creating a rural desert deviod of livelhoods and political influence .

Remarkable we must have the kindest inspectors in the country. I can honestly say RT doesn't break my top ten most stressful things I have to deal with.
Or maybe everyone on this post has nothing else to stress about than some inspector once a year... aka arable farmers 😜
Your not going to find any livestock farmers whining about some inspector while they've got that mad cow's calf to catch....

No ‘personal agenda’, I just think all this wittering about the audit which is easy is a waste of time, and energies should be focused on all the other aspects of it.
i am completely anti red tractor, more than most. I’ve been vocal on here about it for years.

I didnt say that you personally had or any of the things mentioned -but it is the way it is -doesnt mean its your personal policy ,but when you say its easy you only speak for yourself and in a way that devalues others very valid objections , situations and arguments that are totally different to yours .

TBH having to catch ‘that mad cow’ is one of the background worries I have regarding RT. Im an owner/occupier, I generally work by myself and I have no employees. It’s not entirely unusual for my plans for the day ahead to be railroaded by something out of the blue. Maybe:
Tail end cow is calving outside in the field. Needs watching closely then bringing in and calving.
Cows have broken into arable field; need fetching back and fence fixing.
Poorly downer cow at far end of farm; need to hang around for Vet then transport them around/assist for as long as necessary.
Grain wagon turns up unexpectedly for a load.
Motorist reports a sheep on the road ‘down there somewhere’…
Need to catch that mad cow…

Or a myriad of other things may put paid to my plans. Admittedly in the examples above, if I was in the middle of an inspection the grain wagon would get told to ‘go away’ but the other scenarios would have to be attended to for as long as it takes. It does worry me at least a bit that something kicks off just before/during an inspection so the inspection becomes the less important of the things I have to attend to, so I end up paying for the inspection twice over, while also a delay in inspection could mean that my produce ends up not being assured at the right time of year.

The whole RT thing stinks now. It has to go.

What about having to get a vet out on a Sunday evening to a cow with a twisted uterus just to untwist it and then still have to do a cesarean because the calf is too big?
At least if I had an inspection they could of given me a hand to get the cow inside....😜

There seems to be a lot of emotion tied up with red tractor. Maybe chill out a bit? Life is too short to fill it with angry and hate. ☮️

Thankyou for explaining it better than I have or could

Edit. Life's too short to fill it with unnecessary inconveniences like red tractor....
