Sad to see that Belgium now has a higher death rate per million ( 359 ) than Italy ( 348 ).

Spain still the worst on 386 per million.

People are still dying in S Korea , despite not many new cases , so their death rate has crept up to 2.1%.
Turkey and Russia have a strong build up in cases.

Iceland has tested a phenomenal 106,490 per million , although of course their population is only around a third of a million ( 36,000 tests ).

They only have 1720 cases , and have hunted down contacts using actual police detectives.

Having tested more than one in ten of their population , ( those considered to be at risk ) and only getting a 5% positive rate it may well be that Iceland have not missed that many cases. Compare the USA getting 20% of its tests as positives , Italy is on 43%.

Their death rate currently is under 0.5% of all cases . More intriguing is that they have 989 resolved cases , and only 8 deaths. It might just be possible that in the right conditions the Covid19 death rate could be a little under 1%. Italy's death rate is 13% , while ours is an awful 12.9%.

Only 723 active cases , still in Iceland.
