they are all members yes, as is my dad and our agronomist, they don't get much time to post though, someone has to actually get stuff done around here ;-)


have flown through the linseed, no problem for the Lexion - 100ac yesterday cleared, not a great yield though

Me too, not Linseed but Spring Beans. Worth being patient, good yields all at about 19%.
Now to dry them..............

it certainly helps but a decent machine and operator can cope regardless

Not a vintage year but with farm saved seed, a cheap herbicide and glyphosate /110kgs N the only inputs it will still produce a margin

In a good yield year it can be great

Can you just grow linseed for the open market ? If so is it as simple as ringing round merchants ?

I have never grown it any other way ! Always sold, always in demand

Don't know - haven't asked recently and don't normally sell until spring

Cracking year for sp linseed here averaging 2.9t/ha harvested first week of August. Not always so easy though as we have been called in to cut a neighbour's atm!
