Last time it was this tall was 2008, that was our best ever yield of 4.6 t/ac, all was flat and all had to be dried. Average yield is 3.3 t/ac. Maybe a big harvest ? Just hope the weather is good.

Mine still standing ok despite 230 kg/ha N. Dosed with 3C at T0 & T1 that's all. I'm sure the VR nitrogen helped as it's quite thick in valley bottoms. There is a bit leaning over in headland overlaps though.

Very tall here following poultry muck but had 1.7 lt CCC + 0.2 lt Tempo at T0 fb 2.0 lt CCC + 0.2 lt Tempo at T1 fb 1.0 lt Terpal at GS37 and just starting to lean, don't want anymore thunder storms or high winds!!!

Relay much shorter and not looking at risk

Fert overlaps on Grafton gone down in a place or two but maybe only 0.5 ac out of 130 ac

No not mine I think that could be brother in laws of lorry fame. I think the drill man liked tramlines even more than me. Must be a family thing! Tbh a year on from mine messing about you can't see one row missing and pretty sure it won't affect yield. :)

Ours was very lush, had an early PGR and then gave it some terpal that I had in the shed already, that has controlled it's height very well.

Burning of rapidly now.

Thank you @cricketandcrops. We've done 5t/ha litter in the autumn followed by 230kgN from urea in the spring. Was curious to know how it compared to you. 1l CCC + 0.1 Moddus applied here twice. Sounds like either I should be using more, or you're very cautious about ensuring nothing goes flat. Impressive you've got it starting to lean with that mix though. Growth regs are extremely cheap though so think upping the rates might be a wise plan for next year.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.
