yeah, getting bad to find in good nick, we run a engine driven compressor as well but prefer pto driven, less to go wrong!!Have you gone off the Bristol type compressors?

I think they run around 1500 rpm, will have a look tomorrowHi I have put it on front links and that is the right direction for it. It's just to slow on direct drive. I need to put a pulley on it to speed it up but not found out what speed I need the compressor to turn at.
They are on eBay quite often.

You did well to find that photo!!! yes and no, its all but done , just a few guards to do if we ever get time!! the compressor was sold off it and its now fitted with the engine driven compressor as the drive to the compressor was to much hassle so took the easy option and used an engine driven compressor.View attachment 12001
Bloody engine driven are always a pain.
Did you ever finish this one?
( sorry nicked your picture from BFF )
Have you checked the output speed of the gearbox? the compressor should run at about 1600 rpm, if the gearbox used only reverses the drive it won't be fast enough.
Other things to check is oil level or it could need a new filter in the oil recovery tank ?
If it's building the pressure but not got the volume would expect as tweco says it's not being driven fast enough. I believe the 2CX runs a direct engine PTO drive to the compressor, which would be similar revs to a road tow compressor which are direct drive.Would those issues cause it to not put out the volume but still build the pressure?
I will check them out.
